Our original idea was to film in a backstreet in a grimey looking place , we decided this idea would not have worked as we wouldnt be able to control our lighting as efficiently and as we actually needed it for the day of the shoot. We decided it would be easier and would work well with both the pracatalities and visual display been in a studio atmosphere , giving us more room to expriment and sucessfully light our scene.
We would be able to build a set to the highest degree of realism as we could physically possible .The idea for our setup in what was meant to resemble the outside of an old abandoned building (prefably a Factory) would to have brick walls surround our band with a backdrop of corrugated iron this gives the scene a very urban feel , we would have grafitti and quite a rubbish laden floor to give the impression of quite a grimey and dirty place. The problems we faced were mainly how we were going to light our band. We decided we'd use a blue tinted light to give the band quite a cold feel , then it would turn to red to give the band a more edgier feel
The main problem we faced at first with our cast is many of them failed to tell us that they were unavailable to actually perform on the day .This lead to great aggrivation in the group and
(we eventually overcame this with other actors but our main and still outraging concern was that the new actors do not look the part .
The first idea we had for the scene of the band being back stage with their groupies celebrating their show.
