This beacuse it is a horror mopvie and we wanted to get the same effect of the title sequence from the film we copied as to our film we actually made. This beacuse it fades in and out at the beggining then repeats at the end

This is beacuse we wanted people to know as soon as they saw this name that it was murder backwards which the idea came from the Shining , people would realise it was a film in the genre of horror straight away. Redrum also seemed a sutible name since it was a group beffort making the film it wasnt fair to put one single persons name. The reason we only used this and our end title is because we wanted to create and keep tension high throughout the entire movie . This is different to most movies since they usually all feature Director , Producer , Editor , Actors
The very first shot of our film is Rory. This conforms a typical hollywood horror movie, by introducing the main character in the opening scene.
It is an extreme closeup of his eye .It is in a pitch black room so we can only just make out his eye as the sunlight creeps in through the boarded windows.Since it is so zoomed in and just focused on this worried looking eye this creates a sense of confusement , the audience dont realise whats going on until Rory actually gets up from his bed. This shot was influenced from the very popular movie SAW since in all the movies it starts with the victim waking up , disorentated and to no clue where they are.
When our protagonist actually awakens he jumps up against a wall ,panicked he begins to survey his surroundings he sees a window . This is a mid shot so we get a more clearer picture of how beaten up , battered and brusied our main protagonist actually is .He then hears a noise , this noise and general idea we got from the film the Blair witch project and it worked in our favour , It kept our viewers on the egde until something scares him so much he falls throught he door.
As he falls into the next room we used a tracking shot which cuts through the wall and door . He then is plunged into pitch blackness with not even a slither of sunlight able to light his way. He finds a torch on the floor and turns it on. He then slowly starts to pan aorund himself to find out what actually is in this room . As he sines the torch we used a POV shot so we could give the impression what he sees.
We see a reaction shot of our main protagonist . This shot conveys the sense of horror our protagonist is feeling . The bloody handprint is seen in any typical horror and blood always shows that something bad is going to happen . And backed up with a reaction shot this confirms it.
This is the first shot of what Rory actually sees its a POV shot . A girls face with her eyes wide open , pale and blooded . A dead body is always something that is in a horror movie as horror movies always end or begin with dead bodies

The final shot of our film is our main protagonist approaching a dead body to examine it . This is similar to the film 'Seven' As the horror builds with the music and sounds until the titles show with a loud crash.

Our film title comes at the end after our main victim is awoken since this leaves the audience on a cliff hanger and they can only imagine what is going to happen next to our main protagonist . It fades in fast with a loud crash then quickly fades out again
